Dog Problems? Go From BAD DOG to GREAT DOG!

Let's look at some of the more common dog problems associated with ill behaved dogs. You may need to refer to this section a number of times as your puppy becomes an adult or as situations in the family change.

Remember: Owning a Dog is a lifelong commitment! Just like us, they can forget the rules sometimes, or even try our patience. THIS TOO WILL PASS!

Common Dog Problems:

JUMPING

PUPPY NIPPING OR MOUTHING

HOUSEBREAKING

JUMPING ON FURNITURE

BEGGING FOOD FROM THE TABLE

STEALING FOOD FROM COUNTERS

EXCESSIVE BARKING

STOOL EATING

CHEWING

UNRULY BEHAVIOR IN THE HOUSE

DIGGING

Some of these behaviors are habits that need to be broken. One rule of thumb is that you need to replace an undesirable behavior with a behavior you do desire. Trade a bad behavior for a good behavior. A habit takes a minimum of 21 days to break.

This information is all available in my Obedience Training Lesson Book.
